ABOUT ME
ABOUT ME
I am an Austrian freelance journalist and an Erasmus Mundus Master student based in Hamburg. After having spent my first two semesters at University of Aarhus in Denmark, I moved to Hamburg in 2016 to finish the unique Erasmus Mundus Master's degree "Journalism, Media, Globalization" at University of Hamburg.
I have been working as a freelance journalist for print and online publications over the past five years. Furthermore, I have experience in PR-, content-, and social media management. My interdisciplinary Master program has provided me with a global network, an open horizon and a profound knowledge of global affairs. Moreover, I am a specialist in working with international teams.
PORTFOLIO
Hamburg has become my new home in 2016. I am an Erasmus Mundus Master student at Hamburg University, specializing in "Journalism across Cultures" and political communication. Besides, I write for the culture and lifestyle magazine "Hamburg Mit Vergnügen".
The 'Best of Neubau' magazine focuses on Vienna's 7th district 'Neubau' - a vibrant neighborhood full of great restaurants, cool shops and home to many actors, artists or designers. I walked through the lovely district and wrote about all my discoveries on page 38-46. Moreover, I met the designer Susanne Bisovsky and she told me her favorite spots in Neubau (page 67).
I wrote about bike culture in Northern Europe for different online and print publications, e. g. the Austrian daily newspaper "Die Presse" in 2016.
I spent the first year of the Mundus Journalism Master's degree in the trending city of Aarhus, Denmark. Thanks to the interdisciplinary and cooperative curriculum of the program, I was able to study at University of Aarhus as well as the Danish School of Journalism (DMJX). Besides, I was a writer for the online magazine Jutland Station.
In 2015, the Viennese weekly newspaper "Falter" published a supplement covering city development projects in the city. I was highly involved in the production of the magazine - both as an editor and writer.
I have a lot of experience in PR and event management due to my high school which specialized in cultural and congress management. During the summer 2014, I worked as a PR manager for the International Street Art and Puppet Theatre festival 'LA STRADA'.
In 2014 a fellow student and I organized a panel discussion with the editor-in-chief of the daily newspaper "Die Presse" concerning the future of young journalists in Europe.
